Manglik Dosha is considered one of the hazardous dosha in Vedic Astrology. This is a permanent dosha that starts right from our birth and continues until death. The people with manglik dosha cannot marry a non-manglik otherwise there could be chances that the marriage could fall apart or one or both partners can get in serious troubles, sometimes this can cost life. Right at the time when a person is born, is considered very important in determining what zodiac the person is going to have. And by coincidence if mars comes into the zodiac, the person is said to have Manglik Dosha. 
 

The planet Mars is considered as the god of war in vedic astrology, which also remains unmarried. Therefore, whoever has this condition or Dosha will also have to be unmarried for his lifetime otherwise, there could be problems.

Manglik dosha or Mangal Dosha occurs when Mars comes in a 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th and 12th house of a person’s birth chart. This astrological condition affects a person's marriage and relationship. Here are some key effects when mars in in specific house: 
 

Mars in First and Second House: Mars in First and Second house of person’s birth chart indicates that the person is energetic, values his opinions over others, wealthy, well-spoken and is dominating in nature. This nature can lead to difficulties in marriage. 
 

Mars in Fourth House: When a person has Mars in his fourth house, chances are that he may face financial difficulties. He would face disappointments in any work that gives wealth. This can trouble their marriage life after all. 
 

Mars in Seventh House: The person will be aggressive and short-tempered. He may be unable to maintain a relationship with his/her partner or other family member. 
 

Mars in Eighth House: The lazy behaviour of a person will be the root cause of bad relationship with the partner since the individual may be unwilling to work at any time.

  • Kumbh Vivah (a ritual marriage with a banana tree or silver idol of Lord Vishnu)
  • Fasting on Tuesdays to reduce Mars' negative effects.
  • Chanting Mangal Mantras and visiting Hanuman temple.
  • Wearing a red coral gemstone after consulting an astrologer.
  • Marrying another Manglik partner to neutralize the dosha.
